Welcome to our adventures. I try as best as I can to document the happenings here in our family - everything from the shenanigans to the spiritual, from the kid to the kitchen, from the cat to the catastrophes. We believe that adventure can be found in everything we do...even in the mundane tasks of the day. When we set our minds on things above in gratitude to God, we find the strength to approach life with a sense of purpose & adventure. The adventure may not always be what we have planned...but isn't that what adventure is all about?

Peek-a-boo tomatoes

How do you feel about the "pop-in"? You know...the day you decide to wear your pajamas until 2 in the afternoon (and not just any old pj's...the ones with the old ketchup stain right on the chest and pants that have a hole in the wrong place), your house is a mess and smells of burnt microwave popcorn. The pop-in, which is the unannounced visit from an acquaintance that was in the neighborhood or your distant cousin wanting to catch up, will always happen on THAT day.

Not a fan of the pop-in. Please call and give me 45 minutes, k?

Why am I talking about the pop-in? Because I feel like I'm popping in on you right now. I'm 9 days shy of a whole month of a post-less blog. I'm ashamed.

It's not you, it's me. I miss you, and I love you. But I'm busy.

I've entered a busy season of my life where I have to weigh priorities. And sitting down to write has taken a back seat to more important things at the moment. I've also not been able to do much photography. In fact, The Reb is giving me the silent treatment right now even though I've promised him that he's getting a new lens with my birthday money.

It won't be forever...I promise.

Now go get out of your pj's. And for pete sake, sew that hole in your pants.

Pop-in hugs & kisses,

k
